To improve public procurement – use the Trust Test
Public procurement is too often solely made on price, and not enough on true value and to account for areas...
Tomorrow’s Company launched the Financial Inclusion Alliance in early 2019, bringing together leaders from business and civil society who are deeply committed to reducing in-work poverty and its impacts. The Alliance focuses on what the Social Measurement Commission call the “raft of factors which could help people to manage their way out of poverty once they are in work.”
Over the past four months the FIA has been delving into in-work poverty in detail. At this Roundtable Tomorrow’s Company will share the findings of research into in-work poverty. We will open a discussion about how businesses can mitigate pressure on those at risk of falling into poverty, alleviate it and mitigate its impact. Together we look to ask:
What causes in-work poverty?
How can industry find better ways to help make work pay?
How can employers better support their employees to avoid or recover from poverty
How can employers help reduce the impact of in-work poverty?
