Inclusive leadership – awakening the feminine in women as well as men

22nd January 2015 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

The overall objective of the Tomorrow’s Global Leaders Forum is to help achieve the critical mass required to create a new type of business culture with an inclusive approach to attracting, retaining and developing talented people at all levels of the business.

Its driving focus remains opening up the restricted pipeline of women in business so that businesses can unlock the full value of the talent available to them at every level of the organisation. In particular, the objective of the Tomorrow’s Global Leaders Forum is to provide partners with practical business tools and resources to remove the barriers to a strong talent pipeline in a way which will have an immediate and tangible business impact.

We are therefore delighted to invite you to a special Tomorrow’s Global Leaders event – Inclusive leadership – awakening the feminine in women as well as men – with three time Nobel Peace Prize nominee Dr. Scilla Elworthy on Thursday 22 January 2015 at Linklaters LLP.

Dr. Elworthy will build on the success of her new book ‘Pioneering the Possible’ and draw on a lifetime of experience of addressing leadership in the context of ‘hot conflict’, from Israel and Palestine to South Africa, to demonstrate the power of letting go of ingrained biases and building mutual understanding.

Dr. Elworthy will provide a challenging and insightful provocation that argues for the need for both women and men to fully embrace all of their strengths and qualities, both feminine and masculine, to provide effective and fit for purpose leadership in a 21st Century context.

Against the backdrop of a changing world, in which the ecosystems and supply chains that underpin our daily lives are increasingly vulnerable, the collapse of trust in civic and corporate leadership threatens future success on an unprecedented scale.

However, as Dr. Elworthy will demonstrate the answers to these challenges lie within. By fully embracing our whole selves and creating truly inclusive organisations with inclusive cultures that embraces the power of diversity – and enables all employees to be fully present in the work place – we can enable an environment that will create the different nodes of thinking that can produce the solutions required to create a sustainable future.

The Tomorrow’s Global Leaders report lays the foundations for a culture that truly welcomes women working alongside men at every level of an organisation. It has provided the springboard for the Tomorrow’s Global Leaders Forum, an on-going practice forum with a focus on diversity and the practical enablers for the creation of inclusive companies.
