We will be joined at this event by three outstanding speakers, leaders, and practitioners to explore this key agenda with us:

She has worked in a wide range of industries, providing advice to businesses and their leadership teams internationally. Alex is a Fellow of the CIPD.

Peter Cheese is Chief Executive of the CIPD. Peter holds the professional perspective on the implications of the global changes in the world of work for the HR of the future and the capacity for leadership at all levels of an organisation. Prior to joining CIPD in 2012 he spent 30 years working at Accenture, culminating in a 7 year spell as Global Managing Director leading the firm’s Talent and Organisation Performance Consulting Practice. He also held various executive sponsorship positions for Accenture’s firm-wide skills and capability development programs, and the firm’s global Human Capital and Talent Strategy. He is an Executive Fellow at the London Business School, associated with the faculties of Strategic Management and Organisational Behaviour.

Tony Manwaring is Chief Executive of Tomorrow’s Company, a UK-based global think tank shaping the future of business success. Through his work at Tomorrow’s Company Tony is leading on a number of initiatives aimed at reshaping capital markets, specifically through work on incentives as well as other work looking at issues of fiduciary duty and redefining value. Tony also leads Tomorrow’s Company’s Good Governance Forum which brings together a number of key businesses, organisations and individuals to explore what good governance means, and to make practical recommendations to company boards and policy makers, as well as Tomorrow’s Company’s work on sustainability & models of business success, and leadership & talent.

Dominic Griffiths heads Mayer Brown’s banking and finance group in London, representing financial institutions and companies across a broad spectrum of domestic and international financing transactions. His practice is particularly focused on commercial and investment bank asset-based lending and structured finance. Dominic has in-depth experience with regard to European and Trans-Atlantic cross-border secured loans and trade receivables financings. He also represents clients engaged in the structuring and execution of finance transactions in Italy.

This event is part of Tomorrow’s Leadership – a high profile programme of events and activities with leading figures from business and other organisations to explore the issues which will shape the agenda for tomorrow’s leaders today – led by CIPD in partnership with Tomorrow’s Company. In our events we discussed how inspiring communication can make the difference between poor performance and delivering lasting success and resilience, how to activate managers to build sustainable engagement and well-being of staff, and what it takes to rebuild trust in the financial services.
