Executive Summary

Done in partnership with KPMG, this publication proposes a radical overhaul of the way investment institutions and investment professionals serve the public. Among its proposals are a leadership index to help investors assess and compare the long-term health and durability of a company; an ‘inclusive scorecard’ by which to assess the relative social and political risk of different sectors; a new charter for judging remuneration  policies for directors and senior executives; the use of multiple indices moving away from a single benchmark and changes in the way performance tables are drawn up to help consumers from a more balanced view of the quality of investment houses.
