He is the Government lead Non-Executive Director, Director of Whitbread, Chair of the advisory board of the Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership and Trustee of The Prince of Wales Charitable Foundation. In 2012, Ian won The Guardian Sustainable Business Leader of the Year award and was knighted for services to business, sustainability and environment in 2014.
