When Daniel Godfrey was Chief Executive of the Investment Association, the trade body for the £6 trillion UK investment management sector, he saw first-hand how the industry could improve. Costs and charges could be simplified and more transparent, helping customers to become better informed. Short-term pressures and incentives could be replaced with longer-term thinking and investing to create more growth. And, as well as giving investors more, better investment practices would result in a positive impact on society – generating not just better returns, but a better future for everyone.
